The fifth third turkey trot is a race, held the morning of thanksgiving before the parade. It's where you wear crazy costumes while they walk or run the race. Making it the "parade before the parade". The person with the most originality, and best execution win a prize for their costumes. Also, of course, the winners of the race get prizes. This year there is giant inflatables at major turns and two fun stations beside water stations. This year marks the 27th year of the turkey trot.
