South Haven's Blueberry festival!


South Haven, Michigan self-proclaimed blueberry capital of the world. The harbor city's National Blueberry Festival . The festival takes place the first weekend of August each year. Each year from Thursday through Sunday, nearly 50,000 people gather in South Haven Michigan. The festival is one of 40 blueberry festivals nationwide and is considered the longest running event. Before 1969 it was considered a local event, but the amount of people showing up prompted organizers to change the name to "National". Visitors to the event can partake in crazy foods like blueberry coffee, bratwurst and spaghetti.
